TEMPORARY INTERNET · WORK FROM HOME

Your internet installation got pushed back a week. Your job didn't.

Between move-in day and whatever appointment window your provider gave you, there's often a gap — sometimes days, sometimes weeks. If you work from home, that gap isn't really optional. Rent a Starlink and stay fully connected from the moment you move in, no waiting on a technician.

The Problem

Why moving day shouldn't mean a connectivity gap

ISP installation windows

Most providers book installation appointments days to weeks out, especially during busy moving seasons — leaving new residents with no internet at exactly the wrong time.

Remote work can't wait

Video calls, VPN access, and deadlines don't pause for a cable installation window. A Starlink gets your home office online the same day you move in.

New construction homes

Brand-new subdivisions often see ISP infrastructure lag even further behind than established neighborhoods — sometimes by months, not days.

Between providers or address changes

Switching ISPs, dealing with a canceled installation, or just needing internet before you've picked a permanent provider — a rental covers the in-between without a long-term commitment.

Common Questions

Planning your move

How long can I rent it for?

As long as you need — our base rate is $25/day with a 2-day minimum, or $150 for a full week. If your installation date keeps slipping, just message us to extend; there's no penalty for stretching it out week to week.

Will it handle video calls and VPN for remote work?

Yes — typical speeds of 150-300 Mbps down and 20-50 Mbps up comfortably handle video calls, VPN connections, and normal work-from-home use, even with multiple people online.

Do I need to commit to a long rental period upfront?

No — book for however long you think you'll need it, and extend or return early as your actual installation date becomes clear. There's no contract beyond the rental itself.

Will it work in an apartment or condo?

It needs a reasonably open view of the sky, so a window, balcony, or patio facing away from tall buildings works best. Ground-floor units surrounded by taller buildings can be trickier — happy to talk through your specific spot before you book.

What happens when my permanent internet gets installed?

Just return the kit in Salt Lake City (or arrange a pickup for an additional fee) whenever your permanent service is up and running — no need to wait until a scheduled end date.
